China needs to place the battlefield of recovering Taiwan by force outside the country, and Japan is the ideal location.
At the same time, the United States also needs Japan to contain China’s rise in the Asia-Pacific region as its last gamble after the failure of the „virus war“ and „trade war“.
Japan needs to prevent the United States from withdrawing from the Asia-Pacific region and break free from the shackles of the Yalta framework through war.
China and the United States are the primary adversaries, while Japan acts as a vassal state or proxy of the United States. The Japanese mainland is the battlefield, and Taiwan is merely the prize for the victor.

We can almost be thankful Putin attacked again in 2022. If he and Xi had attacked Ukraine and Taiwan in 2017 or 2025 both countries would have been toast.
Russia invading Europe would be so fucking embarrassing for the UK, Germany and France.

Unless the Russian attack is spearheaded by a secret Russian force or a larger Chinese force, I don’t see another Russian attack on Europe in the next 10 years happening, not a conventional military one anyway.

Something I would do. Russia does not have to start a full scale war. Just something small. China can pay Russia (and Iran) for it. Then Europe will be occupied. The economies will crash from the double blow, giving unrest in democracies.
Russia would get its ass handed them and China knows better to stay quiet.
