      keep in mind that ancestry tests are estimating your heritage with various different algorythms and have been proven to be not so accurate, one youtuber tried 10 different ancestry tests and the results were similar but also very different

      I know there are some dna sites that list a lot of Cypriot ancestry as Italian because Cypriot is simply not in their data. I’d take these results with a lot of grain of salt.

      My ancestry dna test update came as 95% Cypriot, 3% Middle eastern and 2% Norwegian. Earlier dna tests had me as half greco-Italian, quarter anatolian and quarter Lebanese. At the end of the day, it’s all just for fun.

      Love how they have removed that cypriots are over 50% turkish, and I don’t mean that as an insult, we have a common dna with the turks

      I once again like to ask everyone to stop giving their personal data (like your fucking DNA!) to scammy companies. The results you get are dubious at best and even if they were real, does it really matter?

      We have such a rich tapestry of DNA. This is invaluable but unfortunately we’ve been conditioned otherwise.

      My results as a Turkish Cypriot.
      ( I took the test 3 years ago and couldn’t find the screenshots so these are what I remember)

      ≈36% west Asian

      ≈21% Greek

      ≈21% south italian

      ≈6% Central European

      – there was also some amount of Ashkenazi jewish

      Do you share cultural similarities with the ME or is your culture similar to Greece or a bit of both ?
