My main takeaway is that if you wanna have a big huge tasty EEZ you better own some random islands or enclaves a few hundred miles from the mainland
Not really all that accurate. British territorial waters go 430 or so miles past Ireland due to Rockall being part of the UK. It’s quite strategic as it means a huge chunk of the ocean is in the UKs EEZ, the UKs EEz extends 200 miles west into the Atlantic from Rockall. The UKs EEZ almost extends to Iceland as a result
