    1. Florida and New York alone account for almost 40% of the entire stateside Puerto Rican population, with major communities also in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

      Good to know where the Native Born Americans are. Everyone else (except native indians), immigrated or had ancestors who immigrated.

    4. What year is the data from? Because the map is pre-1959, when there were only 48 states.

      What is the point of this map? 41,000 Puerto Ricans in Tennessee is literally just a contextless number to me until I calculate the percentage of the population, or maybe Puerto Ricans per square mile if you want to be special.

      I cannot think of a single application for this map.

      But where does „Captain America“ live? Since by his costume he’s clearly actually Captain Puerto Rico.

    7. They deserve to be a state this is just ridiculous they have been a part of this country for so long. Or they should have their independence if they wish.
