Looks like Monopoly but with national parks instead of hotels
Land Between the Lakes is administered by the Forest Service.
I can see why so many ranchers out west are/could be pissed off with the BLM
this map is definitely missing some BIA, and some NPS, administered land. don’t know as much about the other agencies.

Must be old. Barely has USFWS in Texas and no Big Thicket NP among others.
My overall conclusion would be the states that have the lowest footprint of federally owned land correlate with highest quality of life.

There’s so much missing in Iowa: Loess Hills; Effigy Mounds; the Neil Smith Refuge; Saylorville, Red Rock and Coralville Lakes; the Herbert Hoover Birthplace.

BIA land isn’t Federally owned. It’s Federally Administered
