Anyone wanna explain why that road in Tasmania counts as being a part of the same highway?
Imagine trying to drive straight across the middle
I thought it said Pertho and to be fair that’s what I would imagine an Aussie calling it!

More highway in some bits than others.
Have to be the ultimate road trip for some folks. Two weeks?
It’s the highway that never ends, it just goes on and on and my friend!
Lack of infrastructure make this a bit scary to me
This road goes past my parents’ house, and you can continue driving along it for days to end up two timezones away.
Driving its entirety in one trip is known as ‚ The Big Lap ‚. I want to try it in stages. Adelaide to Cairns is complete along with Melbourne to Darwin up the Stuart Highway.
My remaining stretches are fom Darwin to Cairns and the Kimberley region of far northern Western Australia to Adelaide and then home to Melbourne – the longest section.
Edit : this is of course an inefficient method !
