As much as I support Ukraine in the war against Russia, it doesn’t belong into the EU.

The problem with Ukraine is that they got russia levels of corruption. I’m not against Ukraine joining (actually support it) but they gotta deal with that issue first, even if it might take until 2035+. If they join now they’d probably end up spreading their corruption across the entire EU.

I’m not against new members, but unfortunately we do have to be picky and have high standards to avoid another Hungary or Poland (2015-2024)

Actually I mean what I am saying. I hope for Ukraine that they can withstand the russian attacks as I reall dislike the russian arrogance of being the all-time-victim they usually pretend to be. But even if Ukraine meets the requirements I don‘t see a reason the EU will benefit from it‘s joining.

Although we should still help them (and other countries) as much as we can to prepare them to join us.

Ukraine will never join the EU nor that was ever the plan. If that was the plan, EU wouldnt convince them to refuse all Russian peace treaties, knowing full well that all of the problems Ukraine has are going to become 10 times larger once the full scale war starts.

I don’t think Ukraine should join in EU. If it happens then the war will escalate more quickly and even russia can take the full Ukraine
