This bill is dead on arrival. But I appreciate the effort from AKEL.

I will say it feels like too little, too late. There’s really hardly any desirable property left on the island that is within reach of the average GC/TC, and loads of foreign investors have now acquired citizenship through other means. When pappou is listing the crumbling farmhouse for 400k and a single stremma of dirt in any of the cities costs 500k, we are too far gone.

Guess which party is part of the group that are planning to decline it? ELAM that’s right, the people who are selling patriotism and well being of Cypriots everyday.

The only reason tbey are doing this, is because now many Israelis are buying and they are ideologically enemies. As long as it was only Russians that were buying, the double faced fucks didnt care. So fuck Akel.

  4. Everyone of us vote akel in 2028?

I hope the rest realize they aren’t immune to foreign interests… eventually they will either fund a political party or create their own. I’m not completely convinced feidias isn’t already one of these rent-a-politician (and I use politician in the loosest terms, feidias is a politician as a tofu burger is to a hamburger -no shade to our vegan buddies just a simile)

Shocking how much Russian is spoken now all over the island. I went to the north for the first time in 20 years and heard more Russian than Turkish. In the south my daughter’s English school is filled with Russians.

I am curious to see the bill, because strictly legally speaking it’s not non eu nationals that buy the land but Cypriot companies owned by non eu nationals. The interdiction itself exists already since 1960.
