And while the atrocities committed by the Turkish troops during the invasion are mentioned in detail, the massacres carried out by EOKA B are never mentioned. The school, the university, the media in Greece, teach us to hate the “barbaric Turks and Turkish Cypriots”.

      Our education system does not say much about the crimes GCs committed against TCs, but it doesn’t say much about the crimes TCs committed against GCs either. It focuses on Turkey.

      I think there are more GCs that know about these killings against TCs, than there are TCs who know that these killings happened after the Turkish invasion had started and many Greek Cypriots were already killed by the Turkish army and TC paramilitaries.

      TCs are taught to believe that these crimes are what caused the invasion, when in fact the opposite is true.

      What would be correct is not to selectively isolate one or another event, but to include all events in the sequence they happened.
