  1. If only at least 1 Georgina out of 100 thought this way it would be nice. Armenians are always praising Georgians online, while Georgians do the exact opposite.

  2. I think the Mkhedrioni were a real problem that exacerbated problems with Armenians and others.

You’re not only weakening Georgia you also create unnecessary animosity towards Armenia across the border. I moved to Georgia for 2 – 3 months ( I know it’s little bit I couldn’t afford more) to study the topic and I noticed that there is 100x more negativity towards Armenians in Georgia than vice versa.
I also noticed that while Armenians do travel to Georgia, Georgians do not do the same. However any Georgian traveling to Armenia comes back with a completely different opinion.

To all the Georgians, just travel to Armenia for some time, you know it’s just a 4-5 hr of drive, you will see that the majority of people there consider you a brotherly nation.

  4. Most people in the world have a chronic fear of complexity, and they prefer simple ideas, solutions and definitions. This is just another example. It’s easier to just say „Bagramyan Battalion“ and hiss than it is to explore the plausible numbers of the BB, the proportion of ethnic Armenians in it or the Armenians on the opposing side.

    >Although the Armenians of Abkhazia originally wished to remain neutral, the looting and violence committed by the Georgian army, including reports of rape and murder, had consequently caused Armenians to favor the Abkhazian side.[3] The Armenians of the Gagra community, which had an Armenian majority, convened a meeting of leadership where it was decided to officially support the Abkhazs and take up arms against the Georgians.[9][10][11] A Sukhumi-based Armenian newspaper reported:

    >**“At first, we were trying not to mess around, but then the Georgians exerted so much cruelty against Armenians that we had to back the Abkhazians. They would invade the houses and rob and torture the people. In Labra, they seated a married couple on chairs with holes on the seats and burned them. They were raping the women. It was impossible to stay neutral.[3]“**

This is not to blame anyone, or diminish any group. None of this was ordered top-down, but was part of the messiness of the conflict and the mistakes that get made.

This is first to explain the difficult and regretful circumstances of their unfortunate participation in the conflict. Second to encourage critical thinking and discourage lazy negative reactive thinking or Armenophobia.
