No surprise when politician gain power for the first time and see all the government funds that are available for his personal consumption with no mechanism available or toothless to rein in such action.

Worth noting Africa has a GDP of $2.83 Trillion (Nominal) and $10.83 Trillion (PPP). So this means Africa likely loses 1/5 or 1/6 of their GDP to corruption, unless these numbers were based on PPP (unlikely).
