Throwing the word antisemitism around any time someone disapproves of what the country of Israel does sure takes a lot of meaning from the word

    2. That’s his answer to every criticism, every action he disagrees with. At some point the phrase becomes meaningless

It’s not jew hatred, it’s Netanyahu hatred. I can’t wait for him to be gone.

Actually, if Palestine is granted an independent state, it will go a long way to lessen anti-semitism.

    5. Yeah this is not gonna work anymore. He can’t say anything credible to anyone. We do not care what BiBi says and his own streets are alive with protest for his crimes.

    6. I’m accusing Netanyahu of fueling antisemitism by murdering hundreds of thousands of people

Russia recognizes Palestine , but Bibi won’t dare critique his buddy 🧐🧐🧐

Behavior like this endangers Jews around the world by tying their identity to Israel

Netanyahu would call King David himself an anti-semite if he disagreed with him on what to order for lunch.

    10. > “If you do something that I don’t like, it is automatically antisemitism.”

      — Netanyahu, basically

To be clear, this isn’t just about Netanyahu being full of shit. He’s definitely full of shit, but this is also about the actual *harm* it causes Jewish people around the world when he diminishes the concern that good, decent people have for antisemitism.

In other words, Netanyahu is desensitizing people to the horrors of antisemitism, and he’s giving rabid antisemites a win because they can say, “The Jews think everything is antisemitism; don’t worry about it.” People are less likely to be concerned about accusations of antisemitism if they believe Netanyahu is the boy who always cries wolf.

Recognizing a Palestinian state is not inherently antisemitic. It may not be something the *Israeli government* likes, but the Israeli government does not represent *all* Jewish people. Hell, the Israeli government doesn’t even represent the views of all Israeli *citizens*.

I’m starting to think this Netanyahu guy might not know what antisemitism means

Unless you agree with me, YOU’RE WRONG. That’s Netanyahu’s point of view

Bravo for Macron standing up for the people of Gaza. It’s nothing to do with antisemitism.

    13. Ironically, it’s this very type of continuous accusations that are fueling antisemitism. The Israeli government has done more to fuel antisemitism than every actual antisemite could ever hope to achieve.

    14. I would say Netanyahu and his government are doing far more than Macron to fuel antisemitism.

Their favorite go-to. “It’s anti-Semitic to ask me not to murder scores of innocent people.”

If it’s within your religious doctrine to commit atrocities, and bigoted for anyone to criticize that, then maybe your religion is shit?

    16. So people hate Putin for what he’s doing but not this guy why? I think this guy is as bad as Putin if not worse. What a hypocritical world we live in

    17. philthegr81 on

Man, having your religious identity so intrinsically tied to your national identity is a helluva cheat code.

Sigh. The boy who cried antisemitism.

It sucks for the victims of real antisemitism too, all power has been stripped from that word by bad-faith actors.

    19. ChinaCatProphet on

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
