At this point what’s the point of Europe dealing with Trumps America. Blood, sweat and tears seem to go only one way with these people.

    2. A_Pointy_Rock on

Even *security guarantees* are outsourced now? So much for „made in America“, amiright?

    3. steve_ample on

Probably for the best. You want less things for Trump to renege on. Though putting EU lives alone at risk over what is essential to demonstrate to Putin that things will be enforced and monitored bothers me.

    4. Psychological-Bed543 on

Yes… This is what people wanted, its been repeated a thousand times here people don’t trust America to provide security guarantees, so let Europe do it then….

    5. Dramatic_Survey_5743 on

As much as I hate trump, why would America solely be responsible for sending troops, like I dont get it. I have no problem with NATO but the majority of planning to deter russian agression has been america.

    6. Well, Germany and UK both said they are unable to put boots on the ground. So I guess the circle of countries willing & able is getting smaller and smaller.

    7. This decision will not only affect Ukraine, but it will also reshape Europe’s entire security policy.

What is America bringing to the table here? Has a one to one with buddy putin, makes no deal, then tells other nations what they should be doing.

Trump: „I think Putin is tire of it….“

Yeah, so tired of it that he keeps on doing it, and will continue to do so now that he has been assured that the US won’t provide any post-war troops, nor will Ukraine gain entry into NATO.

Anyone else wonder why Trump didn’t call Putin with the NATO leaders in the room?

      Oh, and EPSTEIN.

      >Europe will guarantee security

This guy flip-flops now more than he did on Epstein Island

This is to be expected, though.

      * He doesn’t want America to be actively involved in the war.
      * He wants to appease Vladimir Putin and avoid being seen as taking sides.
      * He wants to profit continually from the war through weapons sales to European and NATO countries in their efforts to support Ukraine.
      * He wants to be admired and respected – even honoured in the future – as the one who brought peace to Ukraine and ended the war, even if that means Ukraine surrendering large swathes of land.

Ultimately, he doesn’t want America directly engaged in this war militarily, yet he wants America to profit from arms sales, while hoping that in the end he is respected, placed on a pedestal, and perhaps even awarded some form of peace prize.

5 minutes later: “I’m not ruling out sending US troops to Ukraine”

    13. erikaspausen on

I would not be suprised if Trump sends troops to russia instead. You know, helping a buddy out.

    14. Trump should side with other democratic countries, cuz that’s how democracy stays strong. Not sending troops to Ukraine, is not about Europe protecting itself, but rather it’s about him siding with Russia. Wake up Americans!

    15. Putin is not tired of anything. It’s his lifelong goal to reestablish the USSR.

    16. Why is Trump telling the press what must be top secret plans of all the US partners?

    17. Eran_Mintor on

We cant send troops to Ukraine because we won’t have enough troops to oppress our own population back home.

    18. ElectricityCake on

We’re actually back to the „America first!“ policy before WW2.

    19. RedLanternScythe on

So if Europe is guaranteeing security, I guess they should get the Nobel Peace Prize

    20. Cool. So how’s the little munchkin VP doing I haven’t seen much of him lately.

    21. Why would anyone believe a word this antichrist says?
All he wants is credit for others actions and to hide his pedophilia at all costs (that others pay)

    22. just_stretching on

Are people actually in favor of American forces in Ukraine opposing Russia??

    23. Hard to justify sending troops to Ukraine when your goal is to use those troops in your own cities.

    24. Mother_Resident_890 on

TACO. His signature, handshake and verbal agreement are worthless. Dementia Don is just listening to what his sugar Vladdy is telling him to say.

Probably promised Trump more children when he goes to visit him in Moscow.

    25. So a paper guarantee only? Oh sure, Trump’s signature on a piece of paper sure is worth a lot!

    26. in plot twist american troops will actually go to russia to help them.

joke#2: yeah american troops will be busy getting deployed at home to „fight crime“

    27. If he sends American troops to Ukraine, they will be fighting for Russia.

    28. The_mingthing on

So Trump has in fact committed to nothing and done nothing… And expect no doubt a peace price for it.

    29. Translation: he wants the credit but isn’t willing to do any of the work.

    30. Isn’t it a loophole in NATO? If Europe steps in, Russia attacks those countries,  the US doesn’t get involved,  making NATO, essentially useless.
