      This reminds me of the Munich Pact, when the European powers led by the Chamberlain government pursued a policy of appeasement against Hitler and ceded Czechoslovakia to the Third Reich. It was not their country to give.

      Strange how history has this tendency to repeat itself.

      What they still don’t understand is that it’s not even Trump, Putin or Zelensky who have to decide. It’s Ukrainian society. And Zelensky will decide what Ukrainian society wants. Trump is dealing with a person who does what Ukrainian society wants because his ass is on the table. And his ass is in a walking distance from the residents of Kyiv.

      This should be the end of Trump, but given that the GOP is cool with protecting him from his pedophilia history while he protects fellow pedophiles & cool with him lowering the standards of the office by begging for a Nobel prize, while taking bribes on a scale never before seen, abusing powers of the presidency threatening political rivals & arresting people for throwing sandwiches with force usually only reserved for a bomb threat, while rocking a kamikaze economic plan … I suspect this is just another day of diversions and blaming Biden.

      This is the only way to reach a peace for Ukraine, and it still might not satisfy Putin. The US is no better. They’ve toyed with Ukraine making false promises, like accepting them into NATO… in fucking 2008, 14 years of false promises, at Ukraine’s peril. The West doesn’t care about Ukraine, only weakening Russia. Who thought otherwise? This is just the Cold War with redrawn battle-lines.
