I know these kinds of propaganda. This is too common in Turkey to bring fear mongering. Do not fall on this one.
Yes and no.
Cyprus was promised to the Zionist people 3000 year ago.
He had no trouble when every other ethnicity was doing it

The ONLY illegal land buying is from SETTLER TURKS and NOT israelis, I would 100% rather israelis buying the land than turks
Non-EU citizens require approval of the Council of Ministers before taking ownership of real estate in Cyprus. It is a standard procedure, and Title Deeds do not get transferred without it. Presumably, Israeli buyers obtain such permissions or participate in Cypriot companies who buy the properties, and so the purchases are legitimate.
Israelis might be buying land from people who don’t lawfully own it, but that is quite different from Israelis coming here with the intention to buy land illegally.
In the north, most of purchase are illegal.
In the south, those are legal. The problem, regardless of nationality, is the how the market changes and can not compete with locals who want to buy a house or land.
Now if there is a strategic buyer policy from Israel or any country, that is something very serious and needs to be exam.
I do think there is a clarification needed on what unlawfully means. There are restrictions put on non EU foreigners owing properties at their name. But there aren’t restrictions on Cyprus domiciled companies owing land here.
There are also little restrictions on selling shares or entire company to non EU based individuals. When this happens it happens together with the assets.
As Russian, I must say, I am ok if people who run from Israel stay, ok if they even somehow make a city of their own. All I ask is for them to not be political or self righteous , you ain’t cool or a martyr.
I saw my people come fleeing Putin’s regime just to stay stuff along the lines of “Russia is the only good country & all people of Ukraine should go extinct” – truly disgusting opinions and state of mind. I don’t want Israeli people to come here , fleeing the war just to glorify a genocide the very first time they sit across me to drink a coffee.
Fourfold:
1. Bypassing the Council of Ministers regulations.
2. Purchasing stolen land in occupied territories making them complicit in the illegal occupation of Cyprus.
3. Many fear the purchases are not carried out in good faith and could have ulterior motives besides simply having a “summer house” or an investment. Many including high ranking politicians have rang the alarm bells at the patterns of purchase and creation of gated communities, intentionally driving locals out and changing the demographic in an unnatural way.
4. We’ve seen this before. In other places, land was bought quietly, communities were reshaped, and the locals ended up watching their own country slip away piece by piece.
As usual… My economy is bad, let’s blame a Jew and take money from them. Works for centuries (trade mark)

Check some numbers here: https://cyprus-mail.com/2025/06/24/akel-focuses-on-israelis-and-cyprus-for-sale-fears#
If anything, you should be more concerned about Lebanese and Brits.
Highly regarded post
Yes.
The answer is NO, they aren’t buying land illegally.
We are WILLINGLY selling everything to them because why sell your great great grandfather’s xorafi for the €15K that it’s worth when you can price it for €1M and an Israeli will be able to easily afford it from you?
They don’t need to buy anything illegally. The Real Estate market in Cyprus is insanely overpriced for the average Cypriot but it’s just perfectly affordable for the average Israeli.
Don’t kid yourselves. As always Cypriot Greed and Parapothkia are selling the land away to the highest bidder.
Palestinians:First time?
If they do it illegally, what prevents the state from taking away this land from them? By the way, who sells them this land, right? So maybe just let the Cypriots stop selling it
If yes, they wouldn’t legally be able to develop on it, it’d have to be extremely secret, and nowhere near a major city (maybe in the mountains). They wouldn’t be able to buy anything near any cities.
More racial incitement. Excellent. Please, please stop it.
There’s enough discord in the world without this crap.
Any land sold in the occupied land is illegal.
Even if the TC that sells it owned it before the war. Land selling is supposed to go through the government. I doubt they do that in the north, so it’s illegal.
As long as it helps the economy and makes the country better then im fine with anything
Do they still buy in the north ?😅
I’m in support of Palestine. Technically I’m not against Israelis buying property legally. However it’s really dark and absurd that we’re not checking first whether these people have committed war crimes.
Secondly the fact that any ethnicity can buy up in such numbers be it Israelis, Russians, Brits etc and change whole city demographics, is 100% a government failure first and secondly the greed of the developers who would do anything for a buck.
What Never fails to amaze me is that after so many construction activity, the rent is still high. Perhaps the government ought to motivate owners of vacant houses to rent them
Iirc 1 residential an 1 commercial property per person. Not 1 neighborhood. But because some Israelis are literally in bed with our politicians, we get what we get. Get ready for another rent increase after the fire destroyed the houses btw.
Hmm… Israelis are on the verge of establishing a new town? Do you mean there are Israeli „settlements“ in Cyprus now?
In my opinion this is incorrect, for the simple reason: the land is not being taken or bought illegally. The people who own the land (mostly Cypriots) are excited to sell the land at a crazy high price, so of course there will be places that will have more Israelis, Russians, etc because the people are deciding to sell the land. How is that considered illegal? You pay the asking price, and take the title deed. It’s a pretty straightforward transaction.
They will buy probably try by as much of the burned areas as possible. They did this after the huge Greece fire, DO NOT SELL! Never sell land! We will rebuild!
